Vine Transit’s four mascot animals were named by Napa County students!
In 2025, Vine held a competitive contest to name the Owl, Hawk, Butterfly and Bee featured on several of its electric buses. Open to all students ages K-5th grade, more than 200 names were submitted.

Genesis, a fifth-grader at Calistoga Elementary School, named the Vine Bee: Poppy!
Eleanor, a fifth-grader at St. Helena Elementary School, named the Vine Butterfly: Mari!
Kimber, a second-grader at Alta Heights Elementary School, named the Vine Owl: Ollie!
Cody, a fifth-grader at Willow Elementary School, named the Vine Hawk: Talon!
